Horizon Forbidden West is a huge game with so much to do. From quests to collectibles, there’s no shortage of activities to get stuck into. One such activity is finding and overriding all the Tallnecks. To recap, Tallnecks are probably Horizon‘s most famous and memorable machines. They’re the gigantic Diplodocus-like machines with flat, circular heads. Crucially, they also hold the key to unlocking all the secrets any given area has to offer. One of these Tallnecks is located in Cinnabar Sands. In order to get to it, you must power up a satellite dish that can then be climbed. It’s not that straightforward. So, here’s how to power up satellite dish in Horizon Forbidden West

How To Power Up Satellite Dish in Horizon Forbidden West

As mentioned, it’s not particularly straightforward – at least at first glance. You need to power up the satellite dish in order to move it, climb up and jump across to the Tallneck. Once powered, the satellite dish moves, repositioning its scalable parts. If you’re reading this article, you’ve probably discovered the generator at the bottom of the satellite dish and are wondering how to get it some juice and move the giant array above. Luckily, it’s not as hard as it first appears…

This is how to power up the satellite dish in Horizon Forbidden West. First, shoot the ladder at the base of the structure to lower it. Climb up to the first platform and jump to the second ladder which is straight ahead. Climb the ladder and then some steps and you’ll come to a big open platform about halfway up the satellite. Lower the ladder on the right side and climb down. From here, hang and move across to the right. Drop down onto the platform and remove the power cell. Now, drop down to the ground and insert the power cell into the generator. Finally, climb the first ladder again and activate the console. The satellite dish at Cinnabar Sands now has power. It will begin to move but get stuck – make sure to slice the two giant power cables with your lance to free it.

Maybe it’s not that difficult after all. Once powered up, you can climb to the top of the satellite dish and jump across to the Tallneck. Make sure to hold Square and use your Shield Wing to glide across otherwise you won’t make it.
