Horizon Forbidden West: How To Move The Crane – The Deluge

Aloy stands in front of the crane at Bleeding Mark in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game with an exciting story and a tonne of quests. Right from the off there’s a lot to sink your teeth into including a variety of interesting side quests. One such quest is The Deluge. In the quest, Aloy heads to the village of Bleeding Mark to trace some late supplies. On arrival, Bleeding Mark is flooded and a band of survivors are huddled together on its outskirts. After going into the flooded village, you will see more survivors stranded on a nearby cliff. The only way to access them is by scaling an adjacent crane. But first it needs to move into position. This is how to move the crane in Horizon Forbidden West and rescue the survivors…

How To Move The Crane in Horizon Forbidden West – The Deluge Quest

Moving the crane is relatively simple. But there are a few steps that you need to complete in order to reach the survivors. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, it can be difficult. Prior to moving the crane, you need to swim out into the village and climb onto the platform at its base. From here, a group of survivors will shout for help from the cliff face. You now need to reposition the crane in order to reach them.

This is how to move the crane in Horizon Forbidden West: First, use the Pullcaster to pull out the metal beam at the base of the crane. Next, jump into the water to the left and ignite the underwater Firegleam. The crane will now move next to the cliff. From here, climb to the top of the platform just south of the crane. Move onto the overhanging concrete beam and use the Pullcaster to remove the crane arm’s counterweights. From here, jump and glide onto the crane’s ladder opposite. Climb up to the arm and run across. Finally, shoot the overhead cable spool to lower the arm completely and reach the survivors.

And there you have it. The crane will now be in position and you’re able to rescue the first batch of survivors. Next, you have to go to the metal towers to search for more survivors. There are some trapped inside. Better get to work!
