Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game packed to the brim with compelling characters and exciting gameplay. But what will keep you coming back is Forbidden West‘s enticing story. It follows Aloy’s quest to retrieve all of GAIA’s subordinate AI functions. One such AI is POSEIDON, the one responsible for “the detoxification of Earth’s hydrosphere.” As part of The Sea of Sands quest, you need to find POSEIDON in the ruins of Las Vegas. The game instructs you to “Search the Ruins for a Way Underground”. But there’s a lot of ruins to search, so it’s difficult to know where to start. Here’s how to get to POSEIDON in Horizon Forbidden West…
How To Get To POSEIDON in Horizon Forbidden West
Restoring all of GAIA’s subordinate AI functions is key to Aloy’s quest to save Earth in Horizon Forbidden West. With GAIA operating at full power, she’s able to restore Earth’s environment, maintain balance, and stave off the nefarious Zeniths. POSEIDON is central to that. As part of The Sea of Sands quest, you journey to the desert ruins of Las Vegas where POSEIDON is said to be hiding. When you get there, the size of Las Vegas is pretty overwhelming. Finding a way underground isn’t easy with so much ground to cover. This is probably the trickiest part of The Sea of Sands quest. Luckily, we’ve got you covered.
This is how to get to POSEIDON in Horizon Forbidden West: First, go to POSEIDON’s coordinates in the South. Once in the ruins of Las Vegas, look for an old Chinese tower in the West (a pagoda). This is The Tower of Tears. Approach it and climb the ladder at the front. You’re now on top of POSEIDON. Inside, Aloy meets Morlund and his crew. From here, follow the quest markers and assist Morlund to get underground to POSEIDON’s location.
It’s that simple. As I said, knowing which ruin to search is the trickiest part of The Sea of Sands quest. And it can lead to a lot of lost time. Thankfully, once you’ve met up with Morlund and his crew, it’s mostly plain sailing with straightforward map markers and clear instructions.
