Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game packed to the brim with compelling characters and exciting gameplay. But what will keep you coming back is Forbidden West‘s enticing story. It follows Aloy’s quest to retrieve all of GAIA’s subordinate AI functions. One such AI is DEMETER, the one responsible for the “reintroduction and subsequent nurturing of Earth’s plant life.” As part of the Seeds of the Past quest, Aloy heads to DEMETER’s coordinates but comes up against a locked door behind impenetrable vines. The game tells you to find a way around the vines to get to DEMETER. But it’s difficult to know where to start. Here’s how to get to DEMETER in Horizon Forbidden West…
How To Get To DEMETER in Horizon Forbidden West
DEMETER is in the west of the map within an old environmental research facility and greenhouse. However, getting to it isn’t that easy. First, you have to fight a mysterious tribe known as the Quen who are guarding the facility. Once you’ve fought your way through, you will find the door to DEMETER is blocked with vines. From here, you need to find a way around the vines to get to DEMETER.
This is how to get to DEMETER in Horizon Forbidden West: From the main door with the Metal Flower, go to the left and head through the doorway into the adjacent room. In the room, use your Pullcaster to pull down a weak section of wall. In the next room, use your Pullcaster on the vent and go through, this takes you to a lift shaft.
From here, climb up one level in the lift shaft and go through the doorway. Next, activate the Holoprojector on the desk straight in front of you. You now need to find Test Station Ivy. Rappel down to the ground via the window to the left. Quen soldiers will be guarding the camp below. Dispatch the guards and then enter the Oak test facility via the door at the south of the camp. Inside, you will meet Alva.
Next, you head underground with Alva as you endeavour to find DEMETER. This part is straightforward until you need to find a way into Test Station Elm. Luckily, we have a guide for that, too! Check it out here…
