Horizon Forbidden West‘s Faro’s Tomb quest is one of its most compelling. There’s a whole tribe of tough enemies and a number of engaging puzzles. It takes place in an Egyptian-like underground facility. However, once inside, you’ll come up against a locked door. The Ceo will order his men to break it open, but you need to find a way around it. It had me baffled at first – but I solved it. And it’s not as difficult as it first appears. Here’s how to get past the locked door in Horizon Forbidden West‘s Faro’s Tomb quest…

So, you’ve made it inside. And you’ll have quickly realised that Ted Faro’s ancient facility is one of Forbidden West‘s most interesting. The notorious tech entrepreneur seemingly constructed a temple dedicated to himself and modelled it after the Ancient Egyptians. It really is a site to behold. However, the locked door between Aloy and the information she needs is troublesome. Because of the abundance of complex puzzles in Horizon Forbidden West, many players will probably overthink this one. And that will no doubt lead them to run around in circles for a considerable amount of time.

This is how to get past the locked door in Faro’s Tomb in Horizon Forbidden West. Hop over the railing to the right of the door. Look up the wall and you will see a vent. Use the Pullcaster to open the vent and climb through. Drop down into the next room and you will be on the other side of the door.

And that’s it. It really is super simple. I was kicking myself after spending a long time expecting the solution to be more involved that it actually is. It just goes to show that sometimes the easiest thing to do is to just look up.
