Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game with an exciting story and a tonne of quests. Right from the off there’s a lot to sink your teeth into including a variety of interesting side quests. One such quest is Need To Know, in which Aloy helps her friend Talanah search for Amadis. After meeting up with Amadis, the group head to an old Tenakth prison called The Rot to look for Nessa. However, getting into The Rot isn’t as easy as they’d hoped. Here’s how to get into The Rot in Horizon Forbidden West

How To Get Into The Rot In Horizon Forbidden West – Need To Know

The Rot is located in the west of Horizon Forbidden West‘s huge open world. It’s situated on a beach just past a thick forest. It has a large front gate which is closed and locked when you arrive. Guards are peppered around the old prison, so you need to utilise stealth to sneak past them and get inside.

This is how to get into The Rot in Horizon Forbidden West. From the front, head round to the left past the old trucks. Follow along the side of the wall until you reach the water. Swim round to the back of The Rot to a large opening in the wall. Go up the shore, through the opening and inside the fortress.

Once inside The Rot, proceed to the front gate and use the wheel to open it. You’ll need to sneak past some heavily armed soldiers with shields and cannons. For this reason, stealth is a good option here as it’s easy to get overwhelmed. When the gate is open, Amadis and Talanah will join you. Finally, free the Tenakth prisoners to complete the Need to Know quest.
