Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game with an exciting story and a tonne of quests. Right from the off there’s a lot to sink your teeth into including finding the complex and mysterious Cauldrons. Finding and overriding the Cauldrons are integral to mastering Horizon‘s deadly machines. Cauldron IOTA is particularly complicated, because it doesn’t have a typical entrance. Instead, when you find it, the door is inaccessible and you’re instructed to “Find a Different Entrance”. Allow me to explain how to find the Cauldron IOTA entrance. Here’s how to get into Cauldron IOTA…

How To Get Into Cauldron IOTA in Horizon Forbidden West

Cauldrons are on of Horizon Forbidden West‘s many puzzles. Usually, the puzzle doesn’t start until you’re inside. You simply override the door, step in, and have to navigate a maze of machinery to get to the Cauldron core. However, with Cauldron IOTA, the puzzle starts outside. When you approach the door, you will notice it’s different to the rest. Not only that, but it’s locked and there’s no way to override it. You then have to find a different entrance. The surrounding area is vast. But finding the entrance isn’t as difficult as it might seem.

This is how to get into Cauldron IOTA in Horizon Forbidden West: On your map, look north west (up and left) from the Cauldron marker. There is a clearly visible ravine nearby. Place a custom Waypoint (with X) at the north end of the ravine. Head to the marker and enter the ravine by either walking in from the south or by jumping and gliding in from above. There is a large hole at the north end. This is the entrance to Cauldron IOTA.

And there you have it – you will now be able to head down into the Cauldron. Once you know where to look, it isn’t that difficult to find. But it can be time consuming if you’re running around aimlessly. After completing the Cauldron, you will have access to a load more machine overrides and you’ll be treated to a magnificent view on exiting. Enjoy!
