How To Gallop On A Mount in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is a huge game. With it being open-world, there’s tonnes of ground to cover. Moving from one objective or town to the next can be very time consuming. Once you have a mount, traversing the massive map is much quicker and easier. Thankfully, each mount can move at varying speeds so you can get the most out of it in every scenario. Obviously, the faster you ride the quicker you’ll get to your destination. And nothing is faster than galloping.

This is how to gallop on a mount in Horizon Forbidden West. Once on your mount, start walking with the right stick. Press X to trot, press it again to canter, and a press it a third time to gallop. Your mount will now be moving at full speed. Press circle to stop.

It couldn’t be more simple. Galloping around on your mount is easily the fastest ground-based way to get around in Horizon Forbidden West, so make the most of it.
