Horizon Forbidden West: How To Find An Entrance To Test Station Elm

Aloy stands in front of Test Station Elm in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West‘s main quests are full of little puzzles that you need to complete to progress. Some are easier than others. And some, while not difficult, may leave you scratching your head for longer than you care to admit. One such puzzle is how to get into Test Station Elm. As part of the Seeds of the Past quest, finding an entrance to Test Station Elm is essential to get to DEMETER – one of the lost AIs Aloy is tracking. I found myself running backwards and forwards for several minutes before finally finding a way inside. Here’s how to find an entrance to Test Station Elm in Horizon Forbidden West

How To Find An Entrance To Test Station Elm in Horizon Forbidden West – Seeds of the Past quest

After meeting up with Alva in Test Station Oak and heading underground, Aloy resurfaces and must find a way into Test Station Elm. It’s a big facility with a long balcony running across the front. And that’s the key to getting in – you need to find a way up to that balcony.

This is how to find an entrance to Test Station Elm in Horizon Forbidden West: To get into Test Station Elm, run round to the left (from facing the front). Look up to the balcony and shoot the red latch on the ladder above. Climb the ladder and head back round to the front of the building via the balcony. Next, jump across the slight gap. Finally, use your Pullcaster on the vent near the end of the balcony. You can now crouch and head inside.

And there you have it, how to get into Test Station Elm. From here, you can explore the facility on your path to reaching DEMETER. Next up, you have to activate the Paired Console via the locked control room door which needs to be powered. We have a guide for that, too! Check it out here
