Horizon Forbidden West: How To Enter Riverwatch – A Tribe Apart

Aloy stands in front of Riverwatch in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is here at last. It’s shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits – and for good reason. It’s a deep game with an exciting story and a tonne of quests. Right from the off there’s a lot to sink your teeth into including a variety of interesting side quests. One such quest is A Tribe Apart, in which Aloy must team up with an Utaru, Jaxx, to help a squad of Tenakth. Alongside Jaxx and Tenakth soldier Sokorra, you head to Riverwatch to get a vital supply cache. But getting into Riverwatch isn’t so straight forward. Here’s how to enter Riverwatch in Horizon Forbidden West

How To Enter Riverwatch in Horizon Forbidden West – A Tribe Apart Quest

Riverwatch is an old fortress that sits alongside the river in the East. Inside is a War Cache containing supplies that the Tenakth squad need to aid them in returning to Plainsong in one piece. But getting to the War Cache isn’t easy. Riverwatch is guarded by machines that need to be killed. Once the machines are dealt with, you must figure out a way into the old fortress. And it isn’t immediately obvious how to do it.

This is how to enter Riverwatch in Horizon Forbidden West. First, defeat the machines in the smaller ruins outside. Head towards the back of these ruins, facing East, and turn right to get to Riverwatch’s back wall. A small section of the wall is marked with a cross. Use your Pullcaster to pull down this piece of wall. You can now crouch and enter Riverwatch via the basement. Once inside, head to the back wall, turn right and go up a ladder. This leads to Riverwatch’s main courtyard.

Now you’re inside, you need to figure out a way up the tower in order to retrieve the War Cache. Luckily, we’ve got you covered. Check out our guide explaining how to climb the tower in the next stage of A Tribe Apart.
