After months of waiting, Hogwarts Legacy has arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game is proving to be a massive hit with Potter fans as they eagerly get stuck into life at the legendary school.
In Hogwarts Legacy, players join the eponymous school as a fifth-year student in the 1890s. The game takes place a whole century before the Harry Potter novels and films. And this allows it to tell its own story about “a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.”
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive RPG that allows players to experience life as a real student. You can create your own witch or wizard, pick your own wand, and even choose one of Hogwarts’ four houses.
Once you’ve settled into the mythical school of witchcraft and wizardry, you are free to explore, attend classes, learn spells, and discover everything the Wizarding World has to offer.
Critics and fans have given the game a great reception. It offers many puzzles to solve, challenges to complete, and enemies to defeat.
In addition, players can brew potions and grow magical plants. And some of these play a key part in the game’s main and side quests.
One example of this is the Focus Potion, which is required for the “Professor Sharp’s Assignment I” quest.

The Focus Potion is a potion which reduces spell cooldowns when consumed. That means it can be incredibly useful during the heat of battle.
One of the objectives of the “Professor Sharp’s Assignment I” quest is to “Acquire and use a Focus Potion”.
This is where to get Focus Potion in Hogwarts Legacy. The Focus Potion recipe can be purchased at J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade for 1,200 gold.
Once you have purchased the potion recipe, you can use it to brew a Focus Potion at your Potions Station in the Room of Requirement. You can also use the Potions Station in the Potions Classroom.
Brewing the potion requires three ingredients: Lacewing Flies x1, Fluxweed Stem x1, and Dugbog Tongue x1.
And there you have it – you can now brew your own Focus Potions as and when you need them.
