In Hogwarts Legacy, players join the eponymous school as a fifth-year student in the 1890s. The game takes place a whole century before the Harry Potter novels and films. And this allows it to tell its own story about “a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.”
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive RPG that allows players to experience life as a real student. You can create your own witch or wizard, pick your own wand, and even choose one of Hogwarts’ four houses.
Once you’ve settled into the mythical school of witchcraft and wizardry, you are free to explore, attend classes, learn spells, and discover everything the Wizarding World has to offer.
Critics and fans have given the game a great reception. It offers many puzzles to solve, quests to complete, and enemies to defeat.
One such quest is ‘The Hunt For The Missing Pages’ in which Nearly Headless Nick asks you to find some rotten roast beef in the school kitchens.
Nick aims to use the rotten beef to gain entry to the Headless Hunt. Through this, he can introduce you to ghosts who know the location of the missing pages

Hogwarts’ kitchen is located behind a portrait of a fruit bowl. To enter, one must “tickle the pear”.
Inside, the kitchen is full of house elves concocting all manner of wonderful wizarding foods for the students and teachers to consume.
There are many tables littered with food items and corners stacked high with barrels and boxes. Finding the rotten roast beef in amongst all the mess is no easy task.
This is where to find the Rotten Roast Beef in Hogwarts Legacy: The rotten roast beef can be found in the alcove on the south side of the kitchen. Your character will remark about the awful smell as you get closer to it.
After interacting with the beef, an house elf named Feenky appears. They agree to let you take the rotten beef and ask that you give their regards to Nearly Headless Nick.
All you need to do now is leave the kitchen and return to Nick outside. He will then take you to join the Headless Hunt.
