After months of waiting, Hogwarts Legacy has arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game is proving to be a massive hit with Potter fans as they eagerly get stuck into life at the legendary school.
In Hogwarts Legacy, players join the eponymous school as a fifth-year student in the 1890s. The game takes place a whole century before the Harry Potter novels and films. And this allows it to tell its own story about “a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.”
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive RPG that allows players to experience life as a real student. You can create your own witch or wizard, pick your own wand, and even choose one of Hogwarts’ four houses.
Critics and fans have given the game a great reception. It offers many puzzles to solve, challenges to complete, and enemies to defeat.
Once you’ve settled into the mythical school of witchcraft and wizardry, you are free to explore, attend classes, learn spells, and discover everything the Wizarding World has to offer.
Perhaps the most famous place other than Hogwarts itself is the magical village of Hogsmeade. From Butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks to a plethora of potions over at J Pippin’s, there is so much to do and buy in the village.
However, one place players are struggling to find is the herbology shop Dogweed and Deathcap. This store sells everything wizards and witches need to stock their greenhouses. But it is proving to be difficult to find in the new game.

Dogweed and Deathcap Location in Hogwarts Legacy
Dogweed and Deathcap is one of Hogsmeade’s many shops and emporiums. However, it isn’t located in the heart of the village like most of the other stores.
Instead, players need to head just outside of Hogsmeade to find Dogweed and Deathcap.
This is the location of Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogwarts Legacy: Dogweed and Deathcap is located to the north of Hogsmeade just over the river from the heart of the village.
Dogweed and Deathcap is difficult to find because its menu icon is concealed by the menu UI. Unless you know where to look, it’s easy to think that the shop doesn’t appear on the map at all.
The shop sells specialist plants that you can use in combat or can mix into potions. They also stock seeds you can use to grow your own plants in the Room of Requirement.
