Helldivers 2: Where to insert SSSD into hatch

The communication uplink terminal in Helldivers 2.

This Helldivers 2 guide explains where to insert the SSSD into the hatch as part of the “Establish Communication Uplink” objective.

Helldivers 2 is a hit with PS5 and PC gamers. The popular third-person shooter from Arrowhead sees players team up in squads of four to join the fight in a galactic war.

As part of the campaign against the blood-thirsty Automatons, players must complete an assortment of missions on different planets.

One type of mission requires players to evacuate priority citizens. As part of this, you also have to establish a communication uplink.

To complete this objective, you need to call down an SSSD and insert it into a hatch. However, the game doesn’t explain where the hatch is or what it looks like.

The hatch will be located at the foot of a radio tower near the communication uplink terminal. It is highlighted by a pulsing white light. The image below shows what the hatch looks like:

The game does not provide a map marker for the hatch, and its location will differ depending on where you are completing the mission.

Therefore, you will need to leave the terminal and explore the surrounding area to find the hatch.

Ensure you are carrying the SSSD so you can quickly deposit it once you’ve found the hatch. All you need to do is approach the hatch and a prompt will appear allowing you to “Deliver”.

And there you have it – that’s where to insert the SSSD into the hatch in Helldivers 2.
