Fresh details about Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) could be with us imminently, including brand new screenshots of the hotly-anticipated game.

As spotted by X account @GTAVI_Countdown, Rockstar has apparently been updating its website to make room for additional GTA 6 content. This includes space for four screenshots, as shown below.

So far, all we’ve seen of GTA 6 is its reveal trailer and key artwork. Every inch of those materials has been combed through and thoroughly dissected by fans, so new content will no doubt generate lots of interest.

While the mere hint of new images is enough to get people excited, it appears the changes to the website were published early by mistake. Rockstar has since removed the placeholders, however its code remains in the website’s database.

It’s worth noting that Take-Two – Rockstar’s parent company – has an investor call scheduled for 16th May. This raises the possibility that Rockstar is planning to drop its latest batch of GTA 6 info just before or soon after that meeting.

GTA 6 isn’t due for release until some time in 2025 and Rockstar hasn’t promised any new information about it at the time of writing. However, the trailer released back in December was badged as “Trailer 1”, strongly implying that there is more to come.

Whether we get a new trailer soon remains to be seen, but it’s probably safe for fans to start getting excited for some never-before-seen images of the game.
