God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla is available now for players to download. This DLC, which was announced at The Game Awards 2023, offers a sizeable amount of new content for players to enjoy. It follows Kratos and Mimir as they enter Valhalla to take on a series of challenges. So, how do you download God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla on PS5 if you want to check it out?
To download the new Valhalla DLC, highlight God of War Ragnarok on your PS5 home screen. Next, select the three dots by pressing down on the d-pad and select “View Product”. This will take you to the game’s PlayStation Store page. Scroll down the page until you reach the “Add-Ons” section – you will see the Valhalla DLC listed here. Select it and press “Download”.
The DLC will then be added to the Downloads/Uploads section of the home screen.

The Valhalla DLC is 8.4GB on PS5. While this isn’t a huge update by any means, it certainly isn’t small.
What is the Valhalla DLC about?
It is set after the events of God of War Ragnarok and serves as its epilogue. Kratos and Mimir travel to the eponymous “shores of Valhalla” where the former must embark on a “deeply personal and reflective journey”.
According to the DLC’s official description, Kratos must push his “mind and body” in order to survive the “challenges of Valhalla”. It is also described as blending the combat from Ragnarok with brand new roguelite elements.

God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla is a free update for owners of the full game. That means you do not need to purchase the DLC in order play it – and it’s available right now.
