This is how to track Atreus in God of War Ragnarok:
Head down the path from the house to the left. Follow it round until you reach the fire with the wolves. At the back of the cave, go through the gap by using your axe to smash the ice.
Follow the cave through to the outside until you reach a clearing and a group of Raider enemies. After defeating them, continue on until you find a dead bear. Interact with it and then push onwards down trail, before turning left at the end.
Next, you will reach a fallen tree bridging a gap. You can clear it by throwing your axe – hold L2 and press R1 (be sure to open the chest to your right before crossing).
After crossing, head round to the right and past a dead soldier, and up a ledge (before the ledge, to the left, there is another chest). At the top, go right under a small gap.
Defeat the enemies in the clearing and then turn left at the fire.
Go round behind it, then turn left, and left again until you reach a wall behind another fire. Climb the wall.
At the top, open the coffin and cross the bridge before heading into the cave. Once inside, turn left down the ledge, defeat the enemies, then head right.
At the end, turn left and kill the enemies in the clearing, then head up the rocks to get out of the cave.
Once outside, you have to fight Bjorn the Bear, the game’s first boss.
