This guide explains how to get Nidavellir Ore in God of War Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to 2018’s acclaimed God of War reboot. After four years, it’s safe to say fans are relishing the chance to jump back into Kratos’ god-sized shoes.
Despite delays and a release on the PS4 that prompted concerns, God of War Ragnarok has launched to astonishingly strong reviews. With 10-out-of-10’s abound, it’s clear the game is a standout title for Sony and a worthy successor to the 2018 game.
In the new sequel, we rejoin Kratos and Atreus as they journey to stop the cataclysmic Ragnarok and learn more about the latter’s true identity as the god Loki.
Along the way the father and son duo join forces with some old friends and come up against new, dangerous foes like Thor and Odin. However, after four years, it can be difficult to remember the story of the previous game and who everyone is.
The same goes for God of War Ragnarok‘s gameplay, too.
Despite sinking tens of hours into the last game, it’s only natural to forget how things work in this follow-up. Be it in combat, navigation, skills, or crafting materials.
To get armour in God of War Ragnarok, you usually have to craft it from resources you will find across the Nine Realms.
After you’ve navigated your way through Svartalfheim’s Aurvangar Wetlands, you will likely come across the Nidavellir armour set at Brock and Sindri’s crafting station.
To craft the set, you need Nidavellir Ore. However, at this stage, it’s likely you won’t have any.
So, let’s go over how to get Nidavellir Ore in God of War Ragnarok…
How To Get Nidavellir Ore in God of War Ragnarok
Once you’ve laid eyes on the Nidavellir set of armour, you just need to have it. It looks great and has impressive stats to boot.
However, you first need to get your hands on Nidavellir Ore.
Thankfully, getting hold of some of this rare crafting material is relatively easy. In fact, completing a specific quest will give you all you need to craft the armour set.
This is how to get Nidavellir Ore in God of War Ragnarok: To get Nidavellir Ore, complete Mirmir’s ‘In Service of Asgard’ favour quest.
The favour involves travelling to three different mining rigs, defeating the enemies who occupy them, and destroying their furnaces.
Nidavellir Ore is obtained after destroying each of the three furnaces.
The first two, Modvitnir’s Rig and Radsvinn’s Rig, are pretty easy. However, getting to Althjof’s Rig is causing players some problems.
Lucky for you, we have a guide for completing Althjof’s Rig. It should make things nice and easy. And you’ll have that precious Nidavellir Ore before you know it.
