2018’s God of War was one of the best games on the PlayStation 4. Not only did it have a fantastic story and intense action, but it also looked gorgeous. Its sequel, God of War Ragnarök, is out next week and now we have details of its graphics modes on PS5.
Graphics modes have been something of a hot topic as of late.
Recent PS5 releases like A Plague Tale: Requiem and Gotham Knights did not offer any. Instead, they were limited to a fixed resolution at 30 frames per second.
This proved to be controversial as many players were expecting a 60 FPS option.
Thankfully, God of War Ragnarök gives players a lot of choice when it comes to graphical options. The game includes six – yes, SIX – different graphics modes in total.
God of War Ragnarök Graphics Modes
Ordinarily, most current-gen titles have two graphics options – a fidelity or quality mode and a performance mode.
Quality modes often feature 4K resolution and ray tracing. However, they are usually limited to 30 frames-per-second.
Performance modes give players 60 or 120 frames-per-second but at reduced resolutions.
God of War Ragnarök has six in total. And that gives players on PS5 an unprecedented level of graphical customisability.
These are the six graphics modes in God of War Ragnarök on PS5:
