You may not believe it, but Roblox has been around for almost 16 years. For the majority of that time, it was virtually unknown. It wasn’t until the late 2010s when the unique game creation platform picked up in popularity and it skyrocketed to worldwide success. By August 2020, it had in excess of 164 million players. Even more impressive, that player base includes more than half of all Americans under the age of 16. Needless to say, Roblox‘s astronomical popularity has spawned the creation of millions of unique games. So, that begs the question, what are the funnest games to play on Roblox in 2022? With so much to choose from, we’ve picked our favourites to help you get right into the action…

Funnest Games To Play On Roblox

As mentioned, there are a staggering amount of games to pick from in Roblox. They fit into all kinds of genres – ranging from town building simulators to first person shooters and everything in between.

It goes without saying that some are better than others. In fact, there’s quite a lot of complete rubbish on Roblox. However, there’s also a ton of great stuff on there, too. Don’t get me wrong, you aren’t going to get Red Dead Redemption 2. But you will find many games that a free, fun, and addictive. And that’s unquestionably the ideal trifecta for any gaming experience.

Without further ado, let’s count down the best and funnest Roblox games in 2022…

The Best Roblox Games

5. Natural Disaster Survival

Ever wondered whether or not you could survive a natural disaster? Well, in Natural Disaster Survival, you can find out!

The premise is simple, your avatar is placed on a randomly generated remote island. Each island is different, with varying landscapes, buildings and features. For the duration of each round, you must survive a random natural disaster that occurs on the island. It could be a wild fire, a flash flood, or even comets raining down from space!

Natural Disaster Survival can get intense. I often found myself running around like a headless chicken to find high ground or shelter. It’s a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out for fans of disaster movies.

4. Murder Mystery 2

Among Us has popularised the social deduction genre – and the Roblox community has its own offering. Murder Mystery 2 takes three groups of players – a murderer, a sheriff, and innocents – and places them at the heart of a murder mystery thriller.

The murderer’s job is simple, kill all the innocents without being caught. Of course, the sheriff’s job is to do the catching and apprehend the murderer. There can be as many as ten innocents, and all they have to do is survive.

Playing each role has its own quirks, but each can be equally as fun. Even as an innocent, you can choose to get more involved and aid the sheriff’s investigation. It’s this player agency that makes Murder Mystery 2 one of the funnest games to play on Roblox.

3. Blox Fruits

Sail the seven seas as either a Pirate or a Marine in Blox Fruits!

If you love challenging combat and open-world exploration, Blox Fruits is for you. “Fruits” are essentially special in game consumables that bestow unique and powerful abilities on your avatar – and they’re what make the combat in Blox Fruits so special.

There’s loads of different locations to explore, secrets to find, and tough bosses to defeat.

2. Arsenal

If competitive multiplayer is your jam, you need to check out Arsenal. It’s Roblox‘s answer to Call of Duty, and it’s one of the funnest games to play on Roblox in 2022.

Arsenal is a first person shooter that pits players against one another. Every time you get a kill, you cycle to a new weapon. Ultimately, the player with the most kills ends up with the Golden Knife. At that point, all they need to do is dispatch one more player and they win!

Fans of Arsenal love the vast range of weapons, varied maps, and fast-paced action.

1. Pet Simulator X

The number one funnest game to play on Roblox is… Pet Simulator X! It gives you the chance to gather the collection of pet pals that you have always wanted.

You start out with one pet and you need to collect coins and diamonds to buy eggs that hatch new, and increasingly rare, pets! It’s quite slow to begin with as mining coins isn’t as fast with a single pet. But the fun is in the rewards – and good things come to those who wait. Before you know it, you’ll have all kinds of cool and fun looking animals by your side. And with that comes the ability to unlock new areas and buy upgrades. It quickly becomes addictive.

Not only is Pet Simulator X good fun for those who love collecting, it also looks great and is well optimised (which is a rarity in Roblox). Everything works smoothly, and that makes the experience all the better.

Roblox Pokemon Games

Roblox Pokémon games are pretty popular – but they’re also highly contentious. That’s because everything in Roblox is created by users, none of whom have the rights to use the Pokémon name or any of its creatures. Still, there’s a lot of Pokémon knock offs on Roblox that steal assets from the franchise. However, none of them come anywhere close to the real deal.

A couple of the most blatant rip offs are Project: Advanced (Pokémon Advanced) and Master Quest 2 Pewter City Temple. But they’re pretty terrible.

If you want a great Pokémon game, there are so many incredible official games to choose from. Don’t bother with Roblox Pokémon games.
