A Twitter account posting every frame from the entirety of Breaking Bad in order has, at last, reached the final scene of the series. @breaking_frames (aka Every Breaking Bad Frame In Order) has been posting each frame of the beloved crime drama since June 2021.

Breaking Bad began airing in January 2008 and ran for 62 episodes across five seasons. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest television shows ever made and featured numerous memorable characters including Walter White (Bryan Cranston), Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), Skylar White (Anna Gunn), Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), and more.

It told the story of a high school chemistry teacher (Walter White) who decides to make and sell crystal meth following a cancer diagnosis. Many of the show’s episodes are considered among the best ever to air on television.

In the 15 years since the series began, it has developed a dedicated fanbase. As such, Breaking Bad and its spin-offs have been heavily memed and content relating to it continues to circulate almost 10 years since its end.

Perhaps no social media account is more of a testament to the show’s enduring popularity than Every Breaking Bad Frame In Order.

Over two years, the account has posted two Breaking Bad frames per minute. It is automated by @pigeonburger, an 18-year-old developer, who, according to their Twitter bio, is self-taught.

@breaking_frames has amassed an impressive 249.9K followers at the time of writing. Many of its tweets have gone viral in their own right, particularly when they feature a frame of a popular Breaking Bad moment.

For example, a tweet on 26 May 2023 of Walt’s shocked face in the episode “Ozymandias” has attracted more than 620,000 likes and has been viewed 38.5 million times.

On 18 July 2023 at 5:30am BST, the account reached the final scene in Breaking Bad‘s last episode “Felina”. The frame that begins the scene features a pressure gauge in Jack Welker’s meth lab which Walt taps with his finger.

According to the account’s bio, “almost every frame” will have been posted by 20 July 2023.

With the account generating considerable interest, we’re intrigued to see how much engagement it can achieve with the final frames of the series. These frames famously showed Walt dead on his back as the song “Baby Blue” by Badfinger plays.

Following Breaking Bad‘s finale in September 2013, a spin-off prequel was produced titled Better Call Saul. Starring Bob Odenkirk as the eponymous character, it aired from 2015-2022 and also received critical acclaim.

A Breaking Bad sequel film about Jesse Pinkman titled El Camino was released in October 2019 and picked up immediately where the series finale left off.

Perhaps @breaking_frames will move onto those next. We’re already looking forward to reliving them, frame-by-frame!
