This article explains what the Disguise field upgrade is in Call of Duty: Warzone DMZ Season 5.

Call of Duty: Warzone‘s fifth season has been unveiled. It kicks off on 2nd August and Activision has started to show off its roadmap.

Most notably, the upcoming season will include the long-awaited reveal of Call of Duty 2023. But the next game aside, Season 5 looks jam-packed with new content.

This includes plenty of additions to DMZ, Warzone‘s popular extraction game mode. With each new season, DMZ has gotten progressively better and deeper. There are now multiple maps for players to fight across, many faction missions to complete and bosses to kill, and countless hidden loot caches to unlock and special items to collect.

DMZ also features mode-exclusive content, and there’s more of that in store for Season 5. This time, there are brand new field upgrades that are exclusive to DMZ.

One intriguing new field upgrade teased in the roadmap is the Disguise. But what is the Disguise field upgrade in DMZ Season 5?

What is the Disguise field upgrade in DMZ Season 5?

The Disguise field upgrade makes players appear as an AI-controlled enemy soldier. When the Disguise is equipped, you will not be attacked by AI soldiers of the same faction.

However, if you attack enemy soldiers, this will reveal your true identity and cause them to aggro.

The Disguise will be best used to assist with missions where stealth is key. Often in DMZ, AI-controlled enemies serve as a major distraction when contending with other operators or trying to complete missions.

By disguising yourself, you will be able to avoid unnecessary confrontation. This should stop you wasting valuable armor plates and ammunition.
