This Call of Duty: Warzone 2 guide explains where to find the Generator Room location on F1 in Building 21 DMZ Labs Investigation mission.
Faction missions are a central part of Warzone 2.0‘s DMZ mode. They take players across DMZ’s three maps, including the mysterious and challenging Building 21.
One mission like this is Labs Investigation, which is a Tier 1 Story mission for the Black Mous faction.
Labs Investigation has only two objectives. The first is relatively easy to complete. Just deploy into Building 21. However, to do this, Building 21 will need to be open and you’ll need a DRC Building 21 Access Card.
The second objective is where things get a bit trickier. You need to find the Generator Room on F1.

How to get DRC Building 21 Access Card
DRC Building 21 Access Cards are available in both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. There are a number of ways to get them:
- Complete a HVT contract. The high-value target may drop the card.
- Search orange crates. These contain valuable loot, including DRC Building 21 Access Cards.
- Buy one from a buy station. However, there is no guarantee that any buy stations will be selling one in a given game.
- Raid supply drops. These will drop onto the map in DMZ and are indicated by map markers.
- Capture a SAM Site and loot the supply crates from the planes they shoot down.
- Shoot down a commander helicopter and loot the supply crate it drops. This is indicated by a map marker.
Generator Room location (DMZ Labs Investigation)
So, once you have the access card, where do you need to go when you get to Building 21?
This is where to find the Generator Room location in DMZ Labs Investigation mission. The Generator Room is located at the centre of F1 in Building 21. From the southwest stairwell exit, proceed straight ahead down the corridor. Take the second right (mid-way down the corridor) through double doors into the Transition Room. You can reach entrances to the Generator Room on the far left and far right sides of the Transition Room.
Once you’re inside the Generator Room, you simply need to walk around the room. You will eventually receive a notification that the objective to “investigate the generator room” is complete.
You can now escape Building 21. When you arrive back at the menus, you’ll be in for a treat. Your second insured weapon slot will be unlocked.
