This Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 guide explains where to find Scavenger calling cards and how to kill the Scavenger in DMZ Calling Card mission.
Season 3 of Warzone 2.0 is here at last. And it comes with some major changes to DMZ, including various new features, equipment, items, missions, and much more.
A brand new faction has also been added to DMZ with its own set of missions. It’s called Redacted. And one if its Tier 1 missions is seriously puzzling players.
That’s because it tasks you with finding and extracting three Scavenger calling cards and killing a mysterious boss known as the Scavenger.
The Calling Card mission description (which you can see in the image below) suggests he leaves a note on the body of dead operators hinting at his whereabouts. But exactly when and how he does this isn’t explained.

How to get Scavenger Calling Cards
This is how to get Scavenger calling cards in DMZ:
Scavenger calling cards are located in the backpacks of dead operators. After an indeterminate amount of time, the Scavenger will locate the operator’s body and leave a calling card in their inventory.
The calling card will appear in place of the operator’s dog tag in their backpack.
However, finding dead operators isn’t straightforward and there is no guarantee the Scavenger will have left his calling card. Therefore, it’s easier to find the Scavenger first.
Where to find the Scavenger in DMZ Calling Card mission
This is where to find the Scavenger in DMZ:
The easiest way to find the Scavenger is to get a car, truck or helicopter and travel around the entire Al Mazrah map. After a while, the Scavenger’s position will be revealed and his icon will appear on the map.
However, this only gives an indication of his general position. Once you can see his icon on the map, look for a feint red circle nearby. This is the location of a dead operator body that he is scavenging.
Quickly head to the red circle. You should see the Scavenger (he is wearing a black ghillie suit) near the operator’s body. He is easy to kill, so quickly eliminate him. Find the operator’s backpack and there will be a calling card inside.
Because of the unpredictable nature of the mission and the Scavenger’s movements, these steps will likely need to be repeated across multiple deployments before you get all three Scavenger calling cards.
Once you have extracted three Scavenger calling cards and the Scavenger is dead, the mission will be complete.
