Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and DMZ launched on 12 April. With it came a raft of new features and bug fixes. However, another DMZ bug is continuing to cause players to spawn in without their chosen lethal and tactical equipment and/or their field upgrades.

In DMZ, players drop into Al Mazrah or Ashika Island to procure contraband equipment. This can then be extracted and used in subsequent games. The aim is to complete faction missions, defeat enemy operators, and build an extraction streak.

While guns, kill streaks, gas masks, and armour vests must be found in the game, grenades and field upgrades can be selected from the ‘Active Duty’ screen prior to deployment. There is no need to get them separately.

After loading into a game, players should start with their chosen equipment. However, this DMZ bug means that does not happen.

This particular technical issue is marked as “resolved” on Infinity Ward’s official Trello board. However, its continued presence has been confirmed during a Downtime Bros play session on 26 April. We were not able to determine what caused the glitch in this instance.

A Twitter user detailed their experience of the bug in a post on 13 April: “DMZ equipment not loading in to the game on ps5, have to spot cartel with a camera and can’t bring a camera in game? It disappears when you load in”.

This comes hot on the heels of widespread complaints around server issues causing problems in Warzone. These can include bullets not registering, lag, an unstable connection, and delayed actions.

On 20 April, Infinity Ward said it was “actively working to resolve” the issues and shared a link to the official Trello board where players can track known problems.
