This article answering “did Saul plant the cocaine in Howard’s locker?” contains Better Call Saul Season 6 spoilers.

Better Call Saul has finally returned for its sixth and final season! Two years have past since Season 5 hit our screens and fans were treated to two brand new episodes to kick off Season 6. In typical Better Call Saul fashion, they were excellent top-to-bottom and I, for one, cannot wait to see where things end up.

For Saul Goodman (Jimmy McGill) and Kim Wexler, things picked up where they left off in Season 5, with the duo planning to take down ex-boss Howard Hamlin. Their plan took them to a country club where Howard was playing golf with fellow lawyer, Clifford Main. At first, it was unclear what exactly Saul and Kim were up to. But things got tense when Howard and Clifford returned to the locker room early and nearly caught Saul fiddling with the former’s locker. Minutes later, Howard opened the locker and a small bag of cocaine dropped out right in view of Clifford. However, the obstructive camera angle has lead some fans to ask “did Saul plant the cocaine in Howard’s locker?” or was it already there?

Did Saul Plant the Cocaine in Howard’s Locker in Better Call Saul?

While Clifford Main was taken aback by the drugs falling from Howard’s locker, it’s not beyond belief that Howard might have a taste for the “devil’s dandruff”. After all, he is an affluent, out-going and flashy individual. And that’s what makes Kim and Saul’s plan so clever – it’s totally within the realm of believability. However, viewers weren’t privy to that plan ahead of time (as is typical for BCS cons). And the camera angle made it unclear what Saul was doing with the locker. As a result, it seemed that the drugs may have fallen from Howard’s locker as a shock twist.

So, did Saul plant the cocaine in Howard’s locker or was it already there? The answer is yes – Saul (Jimmy) did plant the cocaine. Or, rather, the baby powder as it turned out to be. This is confirmed as the wider plan is revealed throughout the episode.

Of course, this was just the first step in Kim and Saul’s scheme to bring down Howard. And we’re yet to see if it will be a success. After all, Howard is a smart guy who has cottoned onto Saul’s cons before. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be a surprise to find out the Howard actually has some skeletons in his closet.
