This Dave the Diver guide explains how to take a picture.

As video games go, Dave the Diver is about as unique as they come. Have you ever wanted to be a deep sea diver by day and run a successful sushi restaurant by night? Yes? Well, this is the game for you.

Dave the Diver is currently in Early Access on Steam. As Dave (the eponymous diver), you must scuba dive to incredible depths in order to acquire different kinds of fish to serve at the restaurant.

To progress through the game’s story, unlock new items, and grow the business, you must complete missions. And some require you to take pictures.

But exactly how you take pictures in Dave the Diver isn’t immediately clear. Thankfully, it’s pretty straightforward.

Check out the steps below explaining how to do it.

How to take a picture in Dave the Diver

This is how to take a picture in Dave the Diver:

You must complete the “Where the Currents Flow?” main mission to build a drone. After completing this mission, Dr. Bacon will give you a camera the next morning which allows you to take pictures. During the next main mission, there is a tutorial explaining exactly how to do it.

While swimming underwater, look for the camera icon. This indicates that you can take pictures. Go to the icon and a mini-game will begin. Adjust the camera’s focus using the spacebar then remove your hand to take a picture. Simply time it right to ensure the green indicators match the frame.

It’s as simple as that. Once you have acquired the camera and completed the initial tutorial, you should be all set to take pictures in Dave the Diver.
