This Cult of the Lamb guide explains how to re-educate dissenters.
Cult of the Lamb is the new rogue-like action-adventure game from Australian developer Massive Monster. Its unique cult-building premise, charming art-style, and aptly crazy story has skyrocketed it to the top of video game charts.
In the game, players control a lamb who is sacrificed by four heretic prophets. The lamb is then resurrected by a malevolent deity named “The One Who Waits” and instructed to start a cult in his honour.
The game interlaces rogue-like action sequences with village building akin to Animal Crossing. Along the way, players convert new followers to their cult and must maintain their faith and quality of life.
Faith is managed through a variety of cult traditions like rituals, sacrifice, worship, and issuing religious doctrine. All in all, it makes for a wonderfully unique and messed-up experience that’s hugely rewarding and addictive.
However, the game is quite complex and there’s a lot to wrap your head around. As a result, players have a lot of questions about how things work in Cult of the Lamb.
Once you’ve gotten your cult up and running, you will quickly accumulate a number of loyal followers.
However, over time their faith may waver. If it drops low enough, they can become dissenters and spread bad vibes amongst your wonderful cult.
At this point, you have two options. Either sacrifice them or re-educate them. The latter option avoids any bloodshed so will probably be preferred by many players.
Let’s go over how to re-educate dissenters in Cult of the Lamb…
How To Re-Educate Dissenters in Cult of the Lamb
When followers become dissenters, they begin there’s a risk that their heresy will spread throughout the cult.
This will lower your cult’s overall faith and can have a disastrous impact as you try to grow. Re-educating them is the simplest solution.
This is how to re-educate dissenters in Cult of the Lamb: Approach the follower, interact with them, and select re-educate. This will decrease their dissent meter slightly. This option is available once per day.
It is also possible to unlock (via the Divine Inspiration tree) and build a Prison where dissenters can be imprisoned and re-educated.
And there you have it, now you know how to re-educate dissenters.
It’s essential you stay on top of re-educating them every day and do everything else you can to restore their faith. If you don’t they can even end up leaving your cult entirely.
