A popular TikTok chef has recreated Pearson’s stew from Red Dead Redemption 2 and it has everyone’s stomachs rumbling for some cowpoke cuisine.

CookingWITHfred, who has more than 2.5 million followers on TikTok, responded to a fan who has spent over two months asking him to make the meal that is regularly served to Dutch’s gang in Red Dead 2. “Day 81 of asking Fred to cook pearsons [sic] stew from rdr2,” wrote the fan.

Chef Fred responded by putting together one of the heartiest and most delicious looking stews I’ve seen in a long time.

For those who don’t know, Simon Pearson is the designated butcher and camp cook of the Van der Linde gang.

After arriving at Horeshoe Overlook, Arthur can visit Pearson for a portion of the stew that he prepares daily. It’s partly up to players to ensure the camp’s food supplies are kept stocked up so that Pearson can make his regular meals.

In his recipe, Chef Fred uses four different types of meat as well as carrots, celery, garlic, and potatoes.

After trimming and chopping his meat, Fred browns it off in a pot before doing the same with the vegetables. He then does the same with the veg and adds stock/broth. He puts the meat back in with the vegetables before adding some rosemary, chopped tomatoes and other seasonings.

The final product looks like an incredibly satisfying bowl of stew that would be more than enough to keep an active cowboy satiated on his adventures in the Wild West.

Chef Fred tastes the meal and gives himself a thumbs up. It’s safe to say that Pearson would be proud.
