Call of Duty weapons now have skeletons inside them

Yes – you read that correctly. Certain Call of Duty weapons in Modern Warfare III (MW3) and Warzone now have skeletons inside them.

CoD players are no strangers to bizarre and fanciful weapon skins. But a new bundle called “Spare Ribs” takes things to a whole new, and frankly awesome, level.

Specifically, the skeletons are inside the DG-58 LSW and WSP-9 as part of new blueprints for the guns.

Costing 1,100 COD Points, these unique blueprints make the weapons completely transparent. Their clear casing reveals dinosaur skeletons on the inside.

Furthermore, you can change the appearance of the skeletons by applying weapon camos to the blueprints.

These are arguably among the most visually-striking weapon blueprints Activision has released in Call of Duty, and are sure to prove popular.

While neither weapon is currently considered meta, they do offer a clear (pardon the pun) tactical advantage.

Naturally, this raises questions about the blueprints being pay-to-win. That’s because the iron sights on these weapons are completely see-through.

This gives players using the weapons increased visibility when aiming-down-sights, which will surely prove advantageous during gunfights.

Popular Call of Duty streamer MarleyThirteen discussed this aspect of the new blueprints in a recent TikTok.

While he described them as the “coolest weapon blueprint Call of Duty have ever released”, he noted that their transparency “might actually be considered pay-to-win.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Activision has released bundles on the store that have raised questions about pay-to-win elements.

Last year, the company began releasing operator bundles for Warzone‘s DMZ mode that granted players free kill streaks and items, as well as reduced weapon cooldowns.

These new see-through weapons will no doubt fuel the debate. However, any potential advantages they provide will only encourage players to purchase them.

So, CoD fans can reasonably expect that more weapon blueprints like this will be on the way in the future.
