Season 2 Reloaded is almost upon us. As always, CoD fans are eager to get stuck into the action and experience all the new content. So, when is the Season 2 Reloaded start time in MW3 and Warzone?

Start time for MW3 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded

Season 2 Reloaded of MW3 and Warzone officially begins on Wednesday March 6th 2024 at 9am PT.

The new seasonal update will launch at the following times in other timezones:

  • 12pm ET
  • 5pm GMT
  • 6pm CET

That means Season 2 Reloaded will be accessible and available to play from those times. It’s worth bearing in mind that seasonal Call of Duty updates (particularly since the launch of MW3) tend to launch with significant issues.

While not all players are impacted, many have found MW3 and Warzone to be near-unplayable immediately following the release of new seasons.

Can I preload Season 2 Reloaded?

The preload for Season 2 Reloaded will likely become available approximately two to three hours before its scheduled launch time.

While this has not been officially confirmed, preloads for new Call of Duty seasons always follow this pattern.

That means players can reasonably expect to be able to preload the new mid-season update from around 7am PT.

New content in Season 2 Reloaded

Season 2 Reloaded features a selection of new content for CoD players, although it will not be as large as a full seasonal update.

Below is a list of the most significant additions to MW3 and Warzone in Season 2 Reloaded, as confirmed by Activision.

Multiplayer

  • New (Remastered) 6v6 Multiplayer Map. Revisit Das Haus in a whole new location as the setting moves from a training facility to the top of a skyscraper.
  • Introducing Bounty, Juggermosh. Eliminate the HVT in Bounty for extra points, and battle as a Space Marine inspired Juggernaut in the Juggermosh limited-time mode.
  • Vortex: Decay’s Realm. Redeploy to the Vortex with an expanded map pool featuring the new map variants Skidgrow and Airborne.

MW3 Zombies

  • New Story Mission. Continue your journey alongside Sergei Ravenov as you’re pulled back into the Dark Aether while investigating a new anomaly, presenting terrifying and exciting challenges you haven’t encountered before.
  • Dark Aether Rift. Squad up and conquer the Dark Aether once more in an all-new Dark Aether Rift, earning new and powerful rewards.
  • Battle Warlord Keres. A new Warlord enters the Exclusion Zone, a chemical warfare specialist who’s willing to use any means necessary to choke out opposing Operators.
  • New Schematics. Fire and keep on firing with the Mags of Holding. Summon an otherworldly two-wheeler with the Blood Burner Key. Expand your squad with the V-R11 Wonder Weapon.

Warzone

  • Research Vessel Mobile POI. Board the Research Vessel on Fortune’s Keep, a new mobile POI circling the island’s shoreline.
  • New Killstreak: Clear out buildings of entrenched enemies with this aerial attack that decimates anyone within the targeted location.
  • New Field Upgrade: Create a safe zone in the gas with the Portable Decontamination Station, protecting any Operators within its area of effect.

Is Season 2 Reloaded worth playing?

Season 2 Reloaded appears to continue the trend of rather lacklustre updates for MW3 and Warzone.

While there are some interesting additions, namely the Research Vessel POI and fresh Zombies content, there isn’t much for players to get truly excited about.

Given that MW3 Zombies didn’t receive any new content at the beginning of Season 2, this mid-season update feels particularly lacking.

A single new story mission is unlikely to be enough to entice players back to the mode. Likewise, a new warlord (that can probably be found and defeated in one game) doesn’t sound like anything special.

Of course, we’ll be keeping you updated on all things Season 2 Reloaded (including guides related to the new content) over the coming days – so keep it locked to Downtime Bros.
