With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III drawing ever closer, attention is turning to the next season of MW2 and how it will set up for the new game. Call of Duty‘s seasonal updates offer large content drops that include new maps, modes, weapons, operators and more. So, when is the Season 6 start date for MW2 and Warzone and what can fans expect?
Season 5 introduced some welcome changes, however it was relatively light on exciting new content. Instead, it was mostly used to unveil Modern Warfare III as part of a special event. That means many fans are hoping for something more substantial in Season 6.
Call of Duty: MW2 & Warzone Season 6 start date
Season 6 of MW2 and Warzone is set to begin on 27 September 2023.
While Activision hasn’t specifically confirmed this date, it is the date Season 5’s Battle Pass will come to an end. Historically, this has been used to correctly predict the start date of new seasons.
In addition, Activision has announced a ‘Zombie Ghost’ operator skin as a Modern Warfare III pre-order bonus. The company has confirmed the skin will be available on 27 September to players who pre-order before the beginning of Season 6. This suggest the sixth season will kick off on that date.
What will Season 6 include?
New Season 6 content for Modern Warfare II and Warzone has not been confirmed.
However, it will surely include a new Battle Pass and weapons. Fresh maps and modes for multiplayer are also likely.
A Halloween event is rumoured and recent leaks suggest players can expect numerous new crossover operator skins. These will apparently include Skeletor, Spawn, Ash Williams, and Alucard.
A Call of Duty 2-inspired Captain Price operator skin is also rumoured to be featured in Season 6.
