Activision has confirmed which maps will be available to players during the Open Beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The upcoming Call of Duty instalment, which is a sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare II, will feature 16 remade maps from 2009’s original Modern Warfare 2. It is set for release on 10 November 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Before then, players will have the opportunity to experience the game’s multiplayer component during the Open Beta. The Open Beta will begin on 6-7 October for pre-order customers on PlayStation. From 8-10 October, the Open Beta will be available for all PlayStation users.

The following weekend from 12-13 October, pre-order customers on Xbox and PC will be able to join all PlayStation players. Lastly, the Open Beta will be accessible to everyone across all platforms from 14-16 October.

In a new Open Beta trailer, Activision revealed which “iconic” maps will be playable in the Open Beta.

We’re super excited to check out all of these maps (with the possible exception of Estate) and see what Sledgehammer Games has done to reimagine them for current-generation hardware.

While it remains to be seen exactly how Modern Warfare 3 will turn out, it’s clear that Activision and Sledgehammer are committed to righting some of the wrongs of last year’s game. With clear effort being made to respond to fan feedback and deliver what players want, we’re hoping this year’s game could be one of the very best Call of Duty outings.

Keep it locked to Downtime Bros for coverage of the Open Beta during weekends 1 and 2.
