Players are given two options. Climb to the roof or find Diego’s keycard to use the elevator. If you opt to find the keycard, you’ll need to explore the mansion to retrieve it.

Finding Diego’s keycard isn’t a walk in the park. It requires patience and caution as you explore the mansion and avoid alerting the cartel’s guards.
This is where Diego’s keycard is in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. From the elevator, go straight ahead and then turn left. Then go straight ahead until you reach a staircase. A guard is blocking it.
Wait for the guard to move or go outside and turn right and climb onto the balcony which is connected to the stairs. When you reach the top of the stairs, collect the bottle. You can use this as a distraction.
Go through the first doorway into the room with the pool table. There is more bottles to collect here, as well as throwing knives.
Make your way out of this room, but be mindful of the guard to the left. Kill or distract the guard – he is blocking the door to the room where Diego and his keycard are.
Once you’ve dealt with the guard blocking the door, slowly make your way inside. You will see another guard. Diego is stood at the far end of the room. Kill them both.
Diego’s keycard is located on the altar in front of where he was standing.
