The SP-R 208 is a bolt action rifle and a weapon fans are particularly keen to try out. After all, bolt action rifles can be incredibly strong in multiplayer if used correctly.

How To Unlock SP-R 208 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer
Unlocking weapons has changed in Modern Warfare 2.
Weapons are now separated into “Platforms”. Each Platform starts with one gun. When you customise that specific gun in Gunsmith, you will notice a new attachment known as a “Receiver”.
The Receiver essentially acts as the ‘base’ of your weapon build. And this is the key change to weapon unlocks in Modern Warfare II.
When you unlock and change the Receiver, you unlock a new variant of that gun. This new variant will fall into a different category e.g. SMG, Assault Rifle, or Battle Rifle. These new weapon variants can be seen in the Progression tab of the Gunsmith screen.
However, unlocking the SP-R 208 is thankfully far more straightforward than other weapons in the game.
This is how to unlock SP-R 208 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. To unlock the SP-R 208 marksman rife, simply reach Rank 7. This should only take 3-4 games in multiplayer.
