This Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) guide explains how to enable Contextual Tap (Prioritize Interact) in the Open Beta.
Call of Duty has been living in the shadow of the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot over the last two years. But that’s all set to change with the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Its campaign is available now while multiplayer will be launching on October 28th. Players are curious about the new features and changes they are now seeing for the first time.
Of course, people are already wondering about the optimum controller setup in Modern Warfare II.
When you’re trying to up your game in CoD, it’s important to explore all the options available to you. This includes the various controller settings you can tweak to your liking.
One feature that many players chose to enable in previous Call of Duty games is Contextual Tap. However, you may have seen it referred to by different names depending on the CoD title you’re playing.
In Modern Warfare (2019), Warzone, and Vanguard, it was called Contextual Tap. In Black Ops Cold War, it was named Prioritize Interact.
However, it does the same thing no matter what it’s called. This handy feature means you don’t have to hold down the interact button when opening/closing doors and picking up weapons.
Instead, all you need to do is tap the interact button. This makes it much quicker and easier to collect loot, open doors, and more. The only other significant change to bear in mind is that you will need to hold the interact button if you want to reload while near an interactable object, such as loot or a door.
