New Call of Duty leak shows upcoming Detained operator skin

A Call of Duty content creator has shared footage of what they claim is a currently unreleased operator skin called “Detained”. In a TikTok video shared on 8th January, fans got their first look at the supposed skin, which features a prison jumpsuit and bandana face covering.

The skin – which appears to be for the Modern Warfare 3 operator Enigma – is currently unavailable for purchase. That didn’t stop interested CoD fans from asking when the skin is due for release, with many commenting on how good it looks. Currently, the only skin available to buy for Enigma is Subatomic which is part of the Electron Energy bundle.

TheOfficeCOD, who released the footage, said they don’t know when Detained is due to be released and were unsure how much it would cost. However, they speculated it would be available for either 1,800 or 2,400 COD Points.

The video, which appears to be legitimate, briefly shows a preview of Detained in the operator selection and lobby screens. It can then be seen approaching character Phillip Graves in Warzone‘s pre-game cutscene, followed by a short clip of it being used in the Firing Range.

Exactly how TheOfficeCOD obtained the footage of Detained is unclear. However, it seems many CoD players are looking forward to purchasing it. Over on X, one user commented “Imma need a release date on this skin ASAP”, while another said “I’m buying 100%”.

As fans know, skins are a central part of contemporary Call of Duty. While they offer no tactical benefit, they allow players to customise the look of their character. Some are available for free and can be unlocked though progression, however others must be purchased using COD Points in the Call of Duty store.

Recently, skins have become increasingly bizarre and devoid of military realism. While some players have praised Activision for getting creative with the operator skins, others prefer them to be more believable.

As such, it seems Detained is receiving praise from players as it has a unique look while still being grounded in reality.
