The pre-order beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will take place between 28 August to 3 September according to information apparently distributed to staff at the UK retailer GAME.
An image of an internal document was posted on X by @BobNetworkUK, who has shared numerous Call of Duty tidbits of late. @BobNetworkUK wrote: “Black Ops 6’s closed pre-order beta will run from the 28th of August to the 3rd of September, according to alleged employee info from GAME.”
While the document can’t be seen in full, it appears to advise staff on encouraging customers to pre-order Black Ops 6. It seemingly states that “Customers should pre-order early for the full benefit”, suggesting players who delay pre-ordering the game may miss early beta access.
Interestingly, if the beta does begin on 28 August, it will coincide with the upcoming Call of Duty NEXT event which is scheduled for the same day. This will surely delay any content creators and journalists attending the event from immediately accessing the beta.
Pre-order betas are nothing new for the Call of Duty series, allowing extra keen fans to experience multiplayer before everyone else. They are usually followed closely by an open beta, allowing players who haven’t pre-ordered to take part.
@BobNetworkUK noted there is “No mention of when the free beta period is, but I would expect it to start immediately after.”
