Death Stranding is one of the most polarising games of the last few years. Its unique concept of reconnecting a broken world through deliveries split opinion, and it certainly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. However, that same concept has captured the minds of a lot of players – myself included. I’m borderline addicted to Death Stranding. And while its whacky story is hit and miss, the gameplay is challenging, thoughtful and refined. I find it a joy to play, but there’s still a few things I find myself wanting. Enter Death Stranding mods.
With the game arriving on PC back in July 2020, an opportunity arose for player-driven mods to enhance the game. The possibilities with mods are endless. And they open the door to expand the wondrous world of Death Stranding. Here are the top 3 best Death Stranding mods available to download right now…
Best Death Stranding Mods
This list of best Death Stranding mods has been compiled from mods available at nexusmods.com.
1. Actors Mod Pack
The Actors Mod Pack allows you to customise character models in Death Stranding. Because the level of detail that has gone into this mod is so high, the changes look fantastic. From changing the eye-colour of characters to decking them out with badass tattoos, there are tonnes of great options. Thanks to Death Stranding‘s already top-tier character models, enhancing them to your liking feels even more special. And they really do look great. That’s why the Actors Mod Pack tops the list of best Death Stranding mods.
2. Simple Realistic 3D for Death Stranding
The Simple Realistic 3D for Death Stranding mod gives this already gorgeous looking game a fresh coat of paint. So, if you’re wanting to enhance the look of the game, this is the mod for you. It combines increased brightness with improved detail, lighting effects and shading. Not only that, but it also allows for 3D stereoscopic mode for those that want Death Stranding to really pop.
By combining all of these great features into one simple package, the Simple Realistic 3D mod is one of the best Death Stranding mods available.
3. BIOME
The first mod on this list concerned customising characters in Death Stranding. BIOME is all about customising the game’s world. While it may seem simple enough at first glance, the BIOME mod actually brings four new biomes (appearances) to Death Stranding‘s world. This allows you, the player, to embark on a journey across a world of your choosing.
The four new biomes are: Vita, Tundra, Moss, and Mortem. According to the official description, “Vita represents lush life. Tundra represents cold plains. Moss represents damp rugged land. Mortem represents post-apocalyptic terrain.”

28 December 2021 15:06 GMTIs there a mod to make the trike not suck? I want it to turn on the roads like it does on dirt and intersections. I also want it to creep forward when I hit the forward button instead of spinning all 3 wheels and then lurching forward while reverse works OK.
