This guide explains where Lae’zel is in Chapter One (Ravaged Beach and Roadside Cliffs).

Baldur’s Gate 3 has at last emerged from its Early Access phase and is far exceeding expectations. Its remarkable success has ignited fascination among gamers, propelling it to a prominent position among Steam’s top-performing titles.

The fundamental factors driving its widespread acclaim are its captivating storytelling, immersive gameplay mechanics, and alluring role-playing elements.

Moreover, it is a game that demands considerable thought and planning from its players. Instead of handing out straightforward solutions, Baldur’s Gate 3 encourages players to dedicate time to unraveling puzzles and carefully considering their choices.

After completing the prologue, players find themselves on the Ravaged Beach. It quickly becomes apparent that you have been separated from your party members and Lae’zel (the githyanki you met on the Nautiloid) is nowhere to be found.

Therefore, one of your early objectives in Chapter One is to locate her. Unfortunately, the Ravaged Beach and nearby Roadside Cliffs cover a huge area and there are no obvious map markers indicating her location. So, where is Lae’zel and where do you need to go?

Where is Lae’zel in Chapter One of Baldur’s Gate 3?

This is where Lae’zel is in Baldur’s Gate 3 Chapter One:

Lae’zel is located directly north of the your starting position on the Ravaged Beach. She is in the northern region of the Roadside Cliffs and can be found at coordinates X: 239 Y: 373.

To reach her, follow these steps. After waking up and finding Shadowheart, continue ahead and then turn left. Continue ahead until you reach the Nautiloid wreckage.

You will be able to go into a partially intact room. Three Intellect Devourers are inside. Kill them. Leave the wreckage through the exit on the west side.

Continue ahead and then go north up the path. You will soon encounter Astarion. A cutscene with play and dialogue will begin with Astarion. You can recruit Astarion to your party if you wish.

After this conversation has finished, go right into more of the wreckage. Go to the north side of the wreckage and you will see the Mind Flayer on the floor. It will try to control your mind and force you to feel compassion for it.

Ultimately, you can kill it or leave it to die. Leave the wreckage by going through the exit on the right. You will arrive at the foot of the Roadside Cliffs and Gale will emerge from a portal and greet you.

Gale can join you to find a healer. Head west along the road until you reach the Chapel. A cutscene will play featuring an elf and a halfling. After dealing with them, explore the Chapel.

Leave the chapel by heading up the stairs on the east side. Go north up the path and follow it round. You will see Lae’zel in a wooden cage hanging above the ground and being watched by tiefling guards.

Approaching them will initiate dialogue which will allow you to free her. Or you can fight the tieflings and kill them.
