This Baldur’s Gate 3 guide explains how to leave animal form after using Wild Shape on PS5.

I love Baldur’s Gate 3 for its varied combat, engaging narrative, and deep decision-making. And, at last, it has arrived on PS5. So, I was keen to see how the experience holds up on console.

As I was already well-aware, Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t the most straightforward game and it takes some getting used to. On PC, I found myself confused and even a little frustrated at first. That’s because there are many different types of actions players can use inside and outside of combat and it isn’t always clear how they work. And I had to go through this all over again on PS5.

I found this to be the case with Wild Shape, which transforms a character into an animal of their choosing. It can be incredibly useful during combat as it provides a sort-of second life. The character is given a new health bar and won’t die once their beast form is killed. Instead, they will revert to their true form.

However, after completing a combat encounter before reverting to the character’s original form, I found myself stuck in animal form and wondering how to leave it.

So, I set about learning how to leave the Wild Shape animal form in Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5.

I was able to leave animal form (Wild Shape) in Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5 by selecting the character in animal form and pressing R1. In the action wheel, I selected “Dismiss Wild Shape”.

My character immediately reverted to its original form.

And that’s it that’s how I dismissed Wild Shape in Baldur’s Gate 3. So, I wasn’t stuck as a beast after all and it was actually really straightforward to get back to normal.
