This Baldur’s Gate 3 guide explains how to get Lae’zel down in Chapter One.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is taking the gaming world by storm. Its shock success has generated incredible and increasing interest among gamers and it is already one of Steam’s biggest ever games.
The primary reasons for its widespread acclaim is its deeply engaging and multi-layered story, gameplay, and role-playing elements. It’s also a game that makes players think. Far from spoon-feeding players, Baldur’s Gate 3 expects you to take your time in solving puzzles, making decisions, and determining your next move.
Even the game’s more straightforward puzzles require a degree of thought. One such example of this is during Chapter One. After escaping the Nautiloid and crash landing on a beach, you must find Lae’zel, the githyanki you met during the prologue.
After exploring the beach and Roadside Cliffs, you will eventually find her suspended above the ground and trapped in a wooden cage. Once you’ve taken care of the tiefling scouts that are guarding her, you must free her from the cage.
But exactly how you do this isn’t immediately clear and you may be scratching your head as to what to do next.
How to get Lae’zel down in Baldur’s Gate 3
This is how to get Lae’zel down in Baldur’s Gate 3:
To get Lae’zel down, shoot the bottom of the cage with an arrow.
This will destroy the bottom of the cage and cause Lae’zel to fall to the ground, freeing her.
To shoot the cage, select a character that has a bow equipped. Choose the ranged attack option and highlight/select the bottom of the cage.
If you do not have a ranged weapon, search the surrounding areas for a bow. With a number of enemies and areas to loot, finding one shouldn’t be too challenging.
This will complete the “Free Lae’zel” objective in Chapter One.
