This guide details the Harbiyah Upper Harbor Gear Chest puzzle solution in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
I’ve found that there is a lot to discover in and around Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Some things can be stumbled across by simply exploring the fascinating city whereas others require you to solve a puzzle.
One such puzzle that I came across is the Harbiyah Upper Harbor Gear Chest puzzle on the ship.
If you didn’t know, Gear Chests contain valuable items like weapons and outfits that you can use to customise Basim. This makes them incredibly valuable. However, they are often secured by a puzzle that prevents people from accessing them easily.
Consequently, whenever I found one, I always made it my mission to solve the puzzle and obtain whatever was inside the Gear Chest.
I came across the one in the Upper Harbor area while completing the mission to rescue Beshi’s rebels. It can be found inside the cabin on the far end of the ship that is docked in the harbor.

Harbiyah Upper Harbor Gear Chest puzzle solution
This is how I solved the Harbiyah Upper Harbor Gear Chest puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Mirage:
- Grab the shelving unit at the door and push it inward.
- Jump over the boxes on the right, grab the unit again and push it all the way to the end (next to the Gear Chest).
- Go back to the right side of the room and pull the second unit backwards.
- Go around that unit so that you are behind it at the back of the room.
- Grab the storage unit at the back of the room and pull it backwards.
- Walk round it to the space you have just made, go behind the divider and pull the first unit back, unblocking access to the Gear Chest.
- Go back around the divider and open the Gear Chest.
Inside the chest I found the Zanj Uprising Outfit, which is a particularly cool clothing item that can be used to customise Basim’s look.
