Star Wars: Ahsoka introduces a whole host of new characters that casual fans may not be familiar with. One of these is Sabine Wren, a character who first appeared in Star Wars Rebels. She is a Mandalorian and the former apprentice of Ahsoka Tano. When viewers meet her, she is shown to have a pet that resembles a cat – but what exactly is Sabine Wren’s pet in Ahsoka?

Wren is introduced in the first episode of Ahsoka – “Part One: Master and Apprentice”. She lives near Capital City on Lothal in a communications tower that was previously the home of Ezra Bridger.

She is shown to live a relatively minimalistic life in the communications tower and is kept company by her unnamed (and adorable) pet.

What is Sabine Wren’s pet in Star Wars: Ahsoka?

Sabine Wren’s pet in Ahsoka is a Loth-cat, which is a breed of Tooka.

Tookas behave similarly to real-life cats. They are commonly kept as pets in the Star Wars universe and used for pest control.

Loth-cats, as their name suggests, are found in the grassy plains of Lothal. They are described as having sharp teeth and claws which help with hunting. The name of Sabine’s Loth-cat is unknown and it is not clear how she acquired it.

Despite this, the two appear to be close. The Loth-cat is pleased to see her whenever she returns to the communications tower.

What happened to Wren’s Loth-cat?

At the end of the first episode, the communications tower is attacked by Dark Jedi Shin Hati and assassin droids. Wren is stabbed and badly injured by Hati. When we next see Wren in “Part Two: Toil and Trouble”, she awakens in the hospital and is greeted by Ahsoka.

After recovering from her lightsaber wound, Wren returns to the communications tower and retrieves her Mandalorian armour. Her Loth-cat is shown to be unharmed and living in the tower.

As of episode six, it is unknown where Wren’s Loth-cat is or what happened to it following her departure from Lothal. However, it is safe to assume that it is still living in the communications tower and patiently awaiting her return. We just hope someone is popping in to feed it.
