At last, AEW Fight Forever arrives this month. The long-awaited pro wrestling game will be released on 29th June 2023. Everything we have seen so far looks promising, and it should make for a fun alternative to WWE’s simulation-centric 2K series. But, as fans know, great character creation features are an essential part of any wrestling game. With that in mind, what does AEW Fight Forever have in store for character creation?

AEW Fight Forever already boasts a large roster of wrestlers for players to use, as well as numerous match types to experience. It also features hand-crafted animations that help create a “nostalgic arcade feel”. However, despite the game’s old school approach to pro wrestling, it will include the modern and innovative finishers and moves AEW is known for.

This brings us to AEW Fight Forever‘s creation suite. AEW fans will no doubt be excited to control all their favourite wrestlers from Wednesday nights. But it goes without saying that players are equally keen to create their own superstars.

WWE’s 2K series is renowned for the quality and depth of its customisation suite. But how will AEW’s first officially licensed wrestling game measure up?

Character Creation in AEW Fight Forever

AEW Fight Forever includes numerous character creation features. But it isn’t limited to just creating a wrestler.

Here is a complete list of creation suite features in AEW Fight Forever:

  • Custom Wrestlers (attire and appearance)
  • Custom Move-Sets
  • Custom Entrances
  • Custom Teams
  • Custom Arenas

With this list of confirmed features, players can look forward to fully fleshing out each wrestler they create. No wrestler would be complete without their own move set or entrance, so, thankfully, AEW Fight Forever makes it possible.

Better yet, players will also be able to design new arenas and create teams in AEW Fight Forever.

AEW Fight Forever launches on 29th June for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
