Cult of the Lamb is the new rogue-like action-adventure game from Australian developer Massive Monster. Its unique cult-building premise, charming art-style, and aptly crazy story has skyrocketed it to the top of video game charts.
In the game, players control a lamb who is sacrificed by four heretic prophets. The lamb is then resurrected by a malevolent deity named “The One Who Waits” and instructed to start a cult in his honour.
The game interlaces rogue-like action sequences with village building akin to Animal Crossing. Along the way, players convert new followers to their cult and must maintain their faith and quality of life.
Faith is managed through a variety of cult traditions like rituals, sacrifice, worship, and issuing religious doctrine. All in all, it makes for a wonderfully unique and messed-up experience that’s hugely rewarding and addictive.

This is how to return to the Lands of the Old Faith in Cult of the Lamb: From your village, head up the stairs, go past the upside-down pentagram and through the arch with the arrows pointing forward. In the next area, travel to Darkwood via the green door to return to the Lands of the Old Faith.
And there you have it, you’re now back in the Lands of the Old Faith.
To get back to your cult, you need to complete a run and defeat one of the game’s many mini-bosses and convert them into a follower.
