Elden Ring has earned near-universal praise from gamers and critics alike. And much of that praise is being directed at the game’s incredible setting – the Lands Between. The Lands Between is packed full of interesting and awe-inspiring locations. One of these is the Grand Lift of Rold which can be reached after defeating Morgott, The Omen King in Leyndell. It leads to the game’s next main area – Mountaintops of the Giants. However, before you reach the Grand Lift of Rold, you must get to the Rold Route. The Rold Route appears as a red map marker on the east side of Leyndell after killing Morgott. But it isn’t immediately clear how to get to it and progress the game. So, this is how to get to Rold Route in Elden Ring…
How to get to Rold Route in Elden Ring
Reaching the Rold Route isn’t particularly obvious or straightforward – as is the case with pretty much everything in Elden Ring. The game provides a map marker, but that’s it. Exactly how to get there is for you to figure out. Firstly, I’d recommend placing a beacon on the map marker. That way, you can see the exact location clearly from a distance thanks to the blue pillar of light. It should help give you an idea of how close you are to it.
This is how to get to Rold Route in Elden Ring. You must first defeat Morgott, The Omen King. Once this is done, go to the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. Go up the nearby stairs and turn left. Follow the path until you reach large double doors. Go through the doors, proceed straight ahead and go up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, go left through the archway with a statue on either side. Walk onto the platform ahead and pull the lever. This will activate an elevator.
And that’s it – you’ve reached the Rold Route and can now advance to the Grand Lift of Rold. Just make sure you’re prepared for a number of tough enemies on your way to the Rold Route.
