Unable To Shoot in Warzone: How To Fix

Call of Duty: Warzone has been around for just over two years. And in that time it’s seen more than its fair share of bugs and glitches. With the arrival of Warzone Pacific and the new Caldera map late last year, a whole new can of worms was opened. The game was fundamentally broken and it took a lot of work for Raven to fix. Thankfully, Warzone Pacific Season Two brought a new sense of stability to the game. And while things weren’t perfect, they were better than they’d been in a long time. But now, a new glitch has reared its head – and it is rendering players unable to shoot in Warzone.

How To Fix Being Unable To Shoot in Warzone

Obviously, of all the functions needed in Call of Duty: Warzone, shooting your gun is the most essential. Without it, you’re basically defenceless. And unless you can miraculously melee your way to victory, you’ve got no chance of winning. So, being unable to shoot in Warzone is both incredibly frustrating and game breaking.

The cause of the bug is unclear – but it’s not related to hardware functionality. PlayStation players report they can still use R2 to drive vehicles. And remapping the fire button doesn’t fix the issue – which it would if the problem was with the physical button. As a result, it’s clear the bug stems from Warzone itself meaning it will hopefully be patched in the near future. However, as of 28th March 2022, the bug does not appear on Activision’s “Known Issues” log.

This is how to fix being unable to shoot in Warzone. Down yourself by using a lethal grenade or explosive, or by dropping from a height. Then either ask a teammate to revive you or use a Self-Revive (if you have one). After being revived, you will be able to shoot again.

While it will cost you some plates, this fix gets you back in the fight as quickly as possible. Just be sure that one of your teammates is ready with the revive – otherwise you’ll be off to the Gulag.
