As mentioned, Great Runes are dropped by Demigod bosses. Each Great Rune has unique effects that the player can benefit from. However, they must be equipped first. In order to equip a Great Rune, they need to be restored. Naturally, Elden Ring doesn’t tell you what to do to restore a Great Rune – so, what are you supposed to do with them exactly?
This is how to restore a Great Rune in Elden Ring. You must visit the Divine Tower corresponding to the Great Rune you need restore. For example, Godrick’s Great Rune can only be restored at the Divine Tower of Limgrave. Once you’ve restored a Great Rune, you must equip it. To do this, visit a Site of Grace and select the ‘Great Runes’ option. You must then use a Rune Arc to activate the equipped Great Rune’s powers. This will last until you next die, after which you’ll need to use another Rune Arc.
