What is it?
Quordle Daily Sequence is a word puzzle game owned by Merriam-Webster, an American company known for their dictionaries. It is a variation of the standard Quordle game.
How to play
Like the standard version of Quordle, players must correctly guess four hidden words within ten guesses.
In Daily Sequence, each word must be guessed in sequence – that is, separate from one another. Players only get hints to the word they are currently guessing.
Each hidden word consists of five letters. After each guess, the game will reveal which letters were correct. A green letter means you got the correct letter in the right place. A yellow letter means you got the correct letter but in the wrong place. No colour means that the letter is incorrect.
If a letter does not appear in any of the four words, it will be removed from the keyboard after use.
If you correctly guess all four words in sequence within ten tries, you win the game.
Top Tips
These tips will help you to guess the words as quickly as possible:
- Use a word with a lot of vowels for your first guess: my personal favourite is “irate”. This is important as getting the correct vowels is crucial when it comes to guessing the word.
- Always refer back to the yellow or green letters as you play – this will prevent you from wasting a guess using a letter that you know is excluded.
- However, if you can’t think of anything without an already excluded letter, it can help to use that word to reveal other letters that could be included. It can be a useful gamble.
